What does Christmas smell like to you? A walk through the forest, an evening by the fire, or fresh greenery from a winter garden?

Join Hilda and Gill from àile for a special morning of wreath decorating and scent blending. You’ll leave with a wreath made your own and two matching scent blends to enjoy throughout the season.

Your wreath

We’ll hand-make each wreath base at Hilda, adding fresh seasonal greenery before you arrive. Then it’s over to you to choose your decorations and velvet ribbon, with the Hilda team on hand to help bring it all together.

Your winter scent

For a Christmas workshop with something a little different, we’re combining Hilda’s wreath decorating with the popular àile Scent Blending Bar. Gill will guide you through three winter scent profiles—Forest, Fireside and Winter Garden—to help you choose and blend a scent that’s as personal as the wreath you decorate.

Scent has a way of bringing back memories—of places, people and Christmases past. Take your time exploring the blends and choose the one that feels like your winter.

Following Gill’s blending menu and guidance, you’ll make:

• A 5ml neat oil blend to scent selected elements of your wreath and top them up throughout the season. It can also be used in a suitable oil burner.
• A diluted mist to use on your wreath or as a room spray, bringing your chosen winter scent into your home.

Gill will show you how and where to add scent to your wreath, and how to refresh it over the weeks ahead. Both bottles are yours to take home—a little reminder of the morning each time you use them.

No experience needed. Come with a friend or join us on your own, with prosecco and mince pies to enjoy along the way.
