Hilda’s 6-Month Plant Guarantee

We want you and your plants to thrive! That’s why every houseplant purchased from Hilda comes with a 6-month guarantee, with one simple condition: if your plant starts struggling, you must bring it to our Houseplant Hospital for a check-up before a replacement is considered.

How It Works

  1. Buy a plant from Hilda – Your guarantee is automatically included with your purchase.
  2. If your plant starts looking unwell, bring it to our Houseplant Hospital within 6 months for a free assessment. Book into the Houseplant Hospital here
  3. We’ll diagnose the issue and offer care advice to help your plant recover. If needed, we will also provide a free repotting service during this visit.
  4. If your plant doesn’t survive despite following care advice, we’ll offer you a free replacement of a plant at the same value.
    • If you choose a plant that costs more, you simply pay the difference.

What’s Covered

Houseplants purchased from Hilda
Plants that decline due to normal care challenges (e.g., incorrect watering, pests, light issues)
Cases where the plant can’t be saved despite reasonable care efforts
Free repotting if our assessment shows it would help the plant recover

What’s Not Covered

Plants never brought to the Houseplant Hospital before dying
Plants showing clear neglect (e.g., completely dried out, never watered, overwatered, left in extreme conditions)
Plants damaged by external factors (e.g., pets, accidents, being knocked over, repotted incorrectly)

Additional Notes

  • If a plant is still alive but struggling, we’ll always prioritise helping you revive it before offering a replacement.
  • If you don’t qualify for a free replacement, we may still offer you a goodwill discount on a new plant.
  • This guarantee is a goodwill policy, not a legal right, and all decisions are at the discretion of Hilda staff.
  • Each plant is eligible for one replacement only under the guarantee.
  • No refunds, store credit, or cash alternatives will be offered.
  • A valid proof of purchase is required to claim a replacement.
