One of the main reasons houseplants end up in the big compost bin in the sky is down to over watering. If you get yourself this handy tool you'll never be in danger of overwatering again. 

Simply stick the end of the detector into the soil and check the reading. If it's 'moist' (eww), put the watering can down! Then simply wipe down the end with the bamboo cloth that comes with it and move on to your next plant.

The bamboo cloth is also perfect for cleaning the leaves of plants that might collect a bit of dust. They don't really like being dusty, so giving them a gentle wipe with this cloth, wet or dry, will help keep them happy.
